What can I expect from an initial consultation?
SINGLE CONSULTATION
During your initial nutritional consultation, we will discuss your medical history, including relevant family history as well as your current diet and lifestyle. Please bring copies of any medical reports or recent pathology tests to your initial consultation.
Testing will provide a picture of your health status with nutrient and hormone levels indicating necessary dietary or herbal medicines and nutritional supplements.
Follow-up consultations are usually at monthly intervals depending on the conditions being treated. These appointments include reviews, ongoing health assessments and possible changes to your health care plan as required.
COUPLE'S CONSULTATION
It is recommended that both partners attend, where possible. The consultation will involve assessment of the medical history of both partners and discussion of your fertility journey.
REMOTE CONSULTATIONS
Much of my work is with country clients so don’t feel you need a clinic visit to reap the benefits of the Making Babies preconception care program. Skyping and phone calls make it easy.

Why choose Making Babies Preconception Care program?
Visits include tracking of gut health, hormone status, and nutrient levels. This information allows for tailored biochemical balancing to ensure you and your baby have access to all your needs during this most important time.
The ‘Making Healthy Babies’ eCourse has a ‘less is more’ focus when it comes to prescribing. It takes approximately three months to create real functional changes in fertility for both men and women, so it is generally considered to be after this point that fertility increases and will continue to increase with further support. Often, just several appointments are all that are necessary for a pregnancy to occur.

Deborah is a registered provider with most Australian private health funds which may provide rebates for nutrition appointments. Please call your health fund for further information.
